The learning workshops on the construction of the Sicilian puppets are organised and coordinated by the Salamanca family, which for more than fifty years creates puppets using traditional craft techniques. Students will discover the history and techniques of the oldest form of the Sicilian popular theatre, declared by UNESCO "World Heritage”.

The children will be able to be part themselves in the construction of a wooden Sicilian puppet and cardboard, with the guidance of the Master Puppeteer. This activity aims to stimulate creativity and manual skills of the students, while bringing them closer to the culture and traditions of our land.

There are five different types of courses, designed according to the specific skills and needs of each age group: from a meeting with the Maestro Puppeteer with a demonstration and explanation of the Sicilian puppets up to interactive and fun educational activities.
